Ryde Council harvests stormwater for irrigating the sports oval and park area...
The stormtech water tank was installed in ....
the Ryde Park complex as part of council's latest water management strategy. The stormwater was intercepted just after an existing Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) and diverted to the lower oval for storage in the Stormtech underground water tank. The 420,000 L water tank was installed below the playing surface of the practice oval. The water is pumped from the tank via an online tertiary water treatment system to directly feed the parks irrigation system as demand for water is required.
