The Stormtech tank is one part of the reuse system and provides...
500,000 litres of water storage for irrigating the Balmoral oval and associated sports areas. The water storage tank was installed within a grassed area adjacent to Botanic Road. The stormwater was intercepted by a Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) within the road and pumped to the stormtech rain water tank. When treated water was required at Balmoral oval (approximately 600 m away) the water from the tank is pumped through a water treatment plant and to the existing irrigation tank at the oval.
